The last couple of years I’ve become a music junkie…Andrew and I started watching the Grammy’s several years ago and each time we’d hear a new (to us) artist we would add them to our play list. My apple music is all over the place, from Mipso to Billie Eilish to Benson Boone to Taylor Swift to Norah Jones…just really depends on my mood.

I’m sitting here this afternoon, listening to a channel compilation from AppleMusic

…and it does not disappoint.

Two summers ago, well now almost three, we started listening to music on the back porch, in our own little world, surrounded by the trees. We took turns on what we would listen to…me leaning towards Norah and Mipso and Benson, him leaning towards Taylor and Billie…we would read as the music washed over us.

I now listen to music all the time thanks to AppleMusic and Homepods. I have the mini-homepods all through the house, kitchen, sewing room, office, even my little sitting area that I love in the summer with the sun beaming in. In the living room I have two of the bigger original Homepods, and as I type this I’m listening to a channel that is perfect…it’s a mix of all the current artist I like.

So as I sit here listening to our favorite artist, drinking a Cosmo that Andrew managed to perfect, my memories take me back to the summers on the porch…the music, the cocktails and the company…so many happy memories.

So cheers to all my friends that listen to good music…read good books…and sip cocktails/wine/beer.
