  • The fifth book in the Magnolia Fall series does not disappoint. You don’t learn much about Hayes in the previous four books, he’s there but only as the grumpy friend and brother.
Hayes comes off as grumpy but the truth comes out in the book about why he seems that way. Savanna left town in a hurry and left behind her best friend with a bitter taste in her mouth. Read through their lives, their story, friends, to not friends, to lusting after each other, to love. After reading this fifth book in the series I think my two favorite guys are Hayes and Kingston. A total HEA on this book…swoon worthy. Make sure and read the extra bonus, you will not be disappointed.

  • Grief is different

    for

    me

    and

    for

    you

When someone passes away their loss touches each person differently

There is the loss of a spouse

    sibling

    family

    friend

each of those people experience grief in their own way

    and

    move through that grief differently

no one’s grief is the same

    we all feel the loss

and we will all work through the loss

    one step

    one leap

    one challenge

    at a time

    So take your time

    because

    my grief and your grief

    are different

  • To be alone

    is

    different

    than

    being

    lonely

I am alone in the house, with the exception of the pups and kitties, but it’s just me

    so

    I am alone

And some days I am lonely

Those are the days that I miss him more than on others

We were both very independent people, our own interest, our own way of doing things

but we were also dependent on each other

    for

love, laughter and to keep the lonely away

So I will walk the path in front of me…a little lonely (or a lot) but I will walk that path forward looking for a way to be less alone or less lonely…keeping our memories close to my heart

  • For Henley it was love at first sight, for Tru she liked what she saw but after the misunderstanding in her classroom there was no way she’d have anything to do with him. Henley was persistant and it was fun to watch their relationship bloom over text messages. Add in three daughters for Henley and a kitten for Tru…let’s not forget about the other players on Henley’s team and an ex-wife, family drama for Tru. The book has some steam, lots of love and toss in some drama and the best part…an HEA. The second book in The Single Dad Playbook Series.

  • Watching a ballgame on the back porch

I picked up my phone to text you

    Tears filled my eyes

Then a laugh escaped from my lips

You had a way with names

You would say a name with a funny accent

    Several times over

    I miss the texting

    Silly stuff

    I miss that the most

  • through my grief

through each step I take moving forward

    through to a new normal

    through life

    to share

    to remember

    to express

    I write for me

    for you

    for Andrew

  • Alliance by S.J. Tilly is a four book series – dark mafia – love story – steamy

    Nero – Book One
Payton just wants to fly under the radar, working and living on her own away from a “family” that caused more damage than one young girl should endure. Nero lives on the edge between total darkness and evil with just a glimmer of light. He walks through the open patio doors of Payton’s apartment, on the second floor and both their lives changed almost instantly. She couldn’t stop thinking about him, he couldn’t stop stalking her and once she was pulled in to his orbit her life was in danger. This story unfolds and at times you are pulled to the edge of your seat, holding your breath to see how Payton opens up the light that really is glowing inside Nero as he shows her the love she deserves.

    King – Book Two
Savannah was done with the jerk she went on three days with, well two, the third being the last when she showed up with him at a friends dinner party only to find his wife and her brother were also attending. King rode the edge between successful business man and member of the Alliance, the dark mafia group that actually tried to do the right thing, even if it meant unaliving some people. One of those people happens to be the jerk Savannah was dating and she just happened to see it go down, oh and who was doing the killing, yup King. King pulls Savannah in to his world by marrying her to ensure she can’t testify against him. Watching this story unfold as Savannah becomes friends with the half-sister, Val, and King discovers who Savannah is as an artist. Another alpha guy working to project what is his but Savannah turns this alpha guy in to a cross between a golden retriever and a pit bull.

    Dom – Book Three
Val, the half-sister to King from book two, she knows about the Alliance, but she lives her life away from that lifestyle, except for the bodyguard/driver her brother insist on. Dom, the head of the Chicago Mafia, he has a need to be a member of the Alliance. The chance meeting at the airport, the plane ride, another meet up in Las Vegas turns Val’s world upside down, till she wakes up, married to who she thought was her dream guy. Dom did what he needed to do to ensure he could be part of the Alliance. Read as this match up goes from a business deal to a story of real love.

    Hans – Book Four
Cassie, loved her little house, her food blog, she tolerated her job because he allowed her to have her house and food blog. Hans was the mystery guy across the stree, Cassie tried to win him over by taking her baked goods and leaving them on his front porch with a little yellow sticky note. Hans wasn’t just a mystery guy, he was an assissan, and was also obsessed with Cassie, when he isn’t out trying to write the wrongs of the world in a twisted way, he is stalking Cassie from the hidden room in his basement. Watch as she is drawn in to his world, and she goes willingly. He calls her butterfly but she is not the tender winged beauty the nickname implies, she has moxie and strength and can hold her own against the grizzly bear aka teddy bear of a man.

All four of these books has a guarantee HEA

  • Our love story started over the phone in 1994….He said it first

January 1995 – first visit to New Hampsire

    September 16, 1995

    The laughter

    the love

    that grew

    We were like magnets

    drawn to each other

    Leaning in

    leaning on

    together

We made a promise and a vow to each on that Saturday in 1995 and that never wavered

28 years and 10 months was not nearly enough time

    but

it was 28 years and 10 months of love

28 years and 10 months of laughter

28 years and 10 months of supporting each other

a love story that ended too soon but one that I will carry in my heart

    much longer

than 28 years and 10 months

    with all my love

  • Those were the words that Andrew said every year as the leaves started to fall…

    “it has started”

you see…the man loved the heat of the summer

    the sun shining

    the humidity

    the heat

what he didn’t like was the cool that was coming

the leaves dropping…btw the my favorite time of the year

he loved the heat on the porch

    the heat surrounding him

he grew to love the beach vacations

    the sand

    the sun

the leaves have started to fall on the driveway

    turning yellow and falling

    the season is changing

    my life is changing

but I will always remember “it has started” the words he spoke as the leaves changed

    as the seasons changed

he will forever be my summer guy
